General Terms and Conditions of Business:

By participating in or cooperating with a workshop at the Atha Yoga seminar house in Altafulla, you automatically accept the terms and conditions.

Seminar House Villa Isabel:

The seminar house Villa Isabel is available for exclusive use by one group at a time. The prices include accommodation in the villa or with other cooperation partners, use of the seminar room, pool and garden, as well as meals (depending on the workshop).

Time Schedule:

Workshop leaders are requested to announce their weekly schedule at least 1 week before the start of the seminar and adhere to it as closely as possible to ensure a smooth process.

Valuables:

We recommend that all guests, including course leaders and participants, keep their valuables in their rooms and lock the doors. We are not liable for any damage or loss of property.

Requirements for Yoga Classes:

It is ideal to practice yoga on an empty stomach, so it is recommended not to eat anything for at least 2 hours before the practice. As the exercises have a significant impact on the digestive organs, drinking during the lesson is not advisable. Workshop leaders are requested to communicate this information to the participants.

Resilience:

To participate in group yoga classes and similar exercises, normal mental and physical resilience is required. Course participants are obligated to inform the teachers about any restrictions or complaints before the course begins. Some exercises may be contraindicated or require special modifications in certain cases, such as untreated high blood pressure or pregnancy. If in doubt, it is advisable to consult a doctor or psychotherapist to ensure the safe practice of the offered exercises (yoga or others).

Workshop leaders also need to have good psychological and physical resilience, as well as the ability to handle group dynamics responsibly throughout the workshop. In case of uncertainty, a doctor or psychotherapist should also be consulted.

Instructions and Body Signals:

Although yoga practice is not a sport in the traditional sense, there is a certain level of risk associated with any physical activity, including yoga. Incorrect practice can lead to pain or injury. Workshop leaders assume responsibility for guiding participants with precision and care, and it is essential for course participants follow the instructions of the teacher accurately.

If there is any uncertainty about the suitability of an exercise or if pain or unusual sensations occur during an exercise, it must be immediately reported to the teacher.

Contagious or Acute Illness:

If a person is experiencing any contagious or acute, serious illness or fever, they are not permitted to participate in or lead a course.

Safe and Healthy Exercise Practice:

Workshop leaders are committed to providing a safe and health-promoting form of exercise, whether it is yoga or any other activity. More detailed information about this can be found in the relevant information sheet provided by the Austrian Yoga Association, for example.

Own Responsibility:

Both workshop leaders and participants engage in the workshop at their own risk. Teachers can only be held liable for personal injury, property damage, or financial loss in cases of intentional or gross negligence. The Atha Yoga seminar house and the teachers are not liable for material damage caused by slight negligence.

Insurance:

We strongly encourage all workshop leaders to have professional liability insurance, and we recommend that all teachers and participants have travel insurance. In the event that a seminar cannot be held or a booked seminar cannot be attended, there is no right to a refund or credit. The agreed cancellation conditions apply.

Fulfillment and Place of Jurisdiction:

The fulfillment of contractual obligations and the place of jurisdiction for both parties is Tarragona.
